Why we started Spritzmonkey
It was during a long road trip to Italy, with many hours in the car, that we had our lightbulb moment to launch our company as we started talking about our career plans for the future. With successful careers in large organisations behind us, we shared our heartfelt desires to strike out on our own. As other business owners will know, it is easier said than done, but as the holiday passed, we decided that the time was right to aim to achieve our dreams and Spritzmonkey was born.
Customers often ask us how we derived our unique name, Spritzmonkey. We came up with the idea during our holiday as our son's monkey toy went everywhere with us and we combined the word monkey with the name of a drink we discovered whilst in Italy, called an Aperol Spritz. The rest is all history and we have never looked back.
